Graduate Mental Health Assistant - High Wycombe, Buckinghamshire
We are working with a primary school in High Wycombe seeking dedicated Graduate Mental Health Assistants to start in September 2024. This role is ideal for graduates in Psychology, Criminology, or related fields who aspire to become Education Psychologists, Clinical Psychologists, or Occupational Therapists.
The school caters to children with special needs and emotional challenges, including SEMH, Autism, and behavioral difficulties. We are looking for committed individuals interested in working with children for a minimum of 12 months, as consistency is key to the children’s progress.
Responsibilities:
1. Supporting children with special educational needs and emotional issues.
2. Assisting in creating a supportive learning environment.
3. Working closely with teaching staff and external professionals.
Candidate Requirements:
1. Recent graduates or about to graduate in Psychology, Criminology, or related fields.
2. Passion for working with children with additional needs.
3. Some experience in relevant settings is beneficial but not essential.
4. Motivation and personality are as important as experience.
