The Contract Support Manager will assist in the delivery of high-quality facilities and maintenance services across the Yorkshire and North East portfolio. They will have their own small standalone portfolio while acting in a supervisory capacity for the remaining Yorkshire and North East sites, this role supports the Contract Manager in day-to-day operations, ensuring compliance, service excellence, and customer satisfaction. The Contract Support Manager will be mentored and developed by the Contract Manager with the goal of progressing into a full Contract Manager role. Main Duties & Responsibilities Support the Contract Manager in delivering all services in line with contractual obligations and customer expectations. Act as the primary point of contact in the Contract Manager's absence, ensuring continuity of service. Build and maintain strong working relationships with the customer and site teams. Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of the engineering and maintenance teams. Ensure compliance with statutory regulations, company policies, health, safety, and environmental standards. Monitor service levels and performance indicators, contributing to monthly reporting and performance reviews. Assist in the preparation of budgets, forecasts, and financial reports. Identify and support opportunities for cost savings and service improvements. Participate in the preparation of quotations and estimates for additional work. Maintain awareness of subcontractor activities and ensure quality and compliance. Support the implementation of training, health & safety initiatives, and quality assurance processes. Attend client meetings and represent the company in a professional and knowledgeable manner. Provide input into incident management and emergency response planning. Recommend improvements to building operations and service delivery. Skills & Qualifications Strong verbal and written communication skills. Excellent organisational and time management abilities. Ability to work independently and make sound operational decisions. Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build rapport with stakeholders. Minimum GCSEs (or equivalent) in English, Maths, and Science. Trade background or technical qualification in building services (e.g., HVAC, Electrical, Mechanical). Experience in managing or supervising maintenance services in a commercial or industrial environment. Familiarity with statutory compliance, permit to work systems, and health & safety legislation. Desirable: Training or certification in specialist areas such as refrigeration, controls, high voltage systems, or confined spaces. Experience in preparing reports, managing budgets, and attending client meetings is advantageous.
