Driver Essential? Yes. The family’s car is available for use during duties.
Essential: Experience working with children, comfort spending time outdoors with Sam, non-smoker/vaper.
Desirable: Experience supporting children with ASC and learning disabilities, providing personal care, working with AAC devices, liaising with SALTs, supporting toilet training, and working with non-verbal children.

Days & Hours: Term time (39 weeks): Any three weekdays, 2:30 pm to 8 pm, and one weekend day, 10 am to 4 pm. School holidays (13 weeks): Any three weekdays, 8 am to 6 pm, and one weekend day, 10 am to 4 pm. Additional babysitting and proxy parenting hours are available, paid extra at GBP 18.20 (weekdays) and GBP 20.20 (weekends).

Accommodation: Live-in option available: Spacious double room in the family home with a king-size bed, wardrobe, drawers, TV, and private en-suite shower room. All bills covered, food not included.
About Sam: A 6-year-old who loves trampolining, climbing trees, playing with sand, and enjoys playgrounds, swimming, and trips to cafes and restaurants. Diagnosed with ASC and Global Development Delay, non-verbal, using an iPad-based AAC device. He benefits from a calm, structured environment and requires support with personal care and communication.
Role Overview: Support Sam’s learning and development, build trust by shadowing his parents, supervise closely, and manage activities safely. Role includes school pick-ups, outdoor play, sensory activities, and outings. Long-term commitment preferred, with potential for proxy parenting and babysitting, and family holidays. Live-in option available.
Candidate Profile: Calm, confident, energetic, experienced with children, positive, and patient, especially in supporting children with SEN during dysregulation. Enthusiastic about engaging activities with Sam.
