We are working closely alongside a Local Authority in Swindon to assist with the appointment of a Repairs Surveyor, on a 7-month contract, highly likely to be extended at clients discretion. Please apply with your CV for immediate consideration.
Rate of Pay: £34.91 - £46.97 per hour
Responsibilities:
* Manage day-to-day repairs across domestic and commercial properties.
* Diagnose building faults and specify appropriate repair solutions.
* Conduct safety inspections in line with regulations and service standards.
* Liaise with tenants, leaseholders, contractors, and internal teams to ensure timely resolution of repair issues.
* Prepare estimates, issue work orders, and manage follow-up/variation orders.
Requirements:
* Minimum 2 years experience in building surveying/inspection including contract administration.
* Knowledge of construction methods, faults, health & safety, and relevant legislation.
* Strong IT skills (Microsoft Word, Excel, and housing/repairs systems).
* Excellent communication and customer service skills, with the ability to explain technical matters to non-technical staff and tenants.
* Higher National Certificate (HNC) in Construction or equivalent.
* Full UK Driving Licence.
