I am recruiting on behalf of my client a highly acclaimed Rosette-awarded gastropub known for its refined modern British cuisine and warm, welcoming atmosphere. The Role:
As Sous Chef, you will support the Head Chef in the daily operation of the kitchen, bringing your creativity, leadership, and technical skill to maintain high standards of food quality and presentation.
Key Responsibilities:
* Support the Head Chef with menu development and daily specials
* Lead and inspire the kitchen brigade in the Head Chefs absence
* Maintain the pubs Rosette-level standards through attention to detail and quality ingredients
* Ensure efficient ordering, stock control, and food safety compliance
* Contribute to the smooth running of busy service in both lunch and dinner settings
About You:
* Previous experience in a quality kitchen, ideally with Rosette or similar fine dining background
* A calm and organised approach with strong leadership skills
* Passionate about seasonal produce and delivering exceptional food
* A team player with excellent communication and mentoring skills
* Food hygiene qualifications and good knowledge of kitchen systems
