Applications are invited from trainee doctors who have completed or are about to finish either UK Foundation Programmes or equivalent, to apply for the position of Clinical Development Fellow (CDF) in Paediatrics.
This position offers work in the Paediatric department at Forth Valley Royal Hospital. The CDF posts include 6 hours per week of protected development time and 2 hours of in-house training. The remaining time will be divided between clinical work in Paediatrics and Neonates, acute receiving, both in and out of hours. The role provides experience in General Paediatrics and Neonatology, including responsibility for assessment and treatment on the Tier 1 rota for acute paediatric inpatients, neonatal intensive care (Level 2), Postnatal and Labour wards, and in our short stay assessment area and Paediatric Day care. Exposure to patients managed by subspecialty teams such as Diabetes, Endocrinology, Cardiology, Cystic Fibrosis, Allergy, Respiratory, Gastroenterology, Nephrology, Rheumatology, Neurology, and Neuro disability or Community Child Health is also available.
