Job Description Machinist Full time Ansty What you will be doing: An outstanding opportunity has arisen for a skilled and qualified General Machinist to join our Fan case production team in Ansty. Responsibilities: In this role, you will be working within a small team across three shifts you will be required to carry out both static and dynamic balancing across a wide range of engine products using simulated rotor tooling on both vertical and horizontal balancing machines, you will also: Work to Rolls-Royce’s Technical Instructions and program manuals to deliver consistent, high-quality machining across a variety of different components and product families. Operate a variety of Inspection equipment, including machine probing, micrometres, plug gauges. Interpretation of manufacturing drawings, customer drawings and written specifications. Assessment of whether the quality of components produced within the facility meets the required standards. To be successful in this role you will need to meet the following criteria: Completed an advanced modern engineering apprenticeship* and an NVQ/SVQ/City & Guilds Level 3 or equivalent qualification. Siemens control system experience is preferred. Experience in 5-axis milling, turning, drilling, and boring. Previous experience with aerospace components would be an advantage. Clear and demonstrated understanding of drawing interpretation, calibration, dimensional and visual inspection. You are an active and patient individual who can manage your time effectively. An individual who is able to work alone and as part of a team and will strive to achieve delivery commitments.
