Hours: 20 hours per week
Working Pattern: Monday to Thursday 8:00am - 4:30pm, Friday 8:00am - 4:00pm. Rota includes Saturdays and Sundays, with one in eight weekends on Saturday and Sunday from 8:00am to 1:00pm. Also, a 1 in 25-week standby rota covers all SLC Multis after-hours emergency call outs. Extra payment is provided for standby and overtime for call outs. This is a part-time, 20-hour per week job share position with another employee on the same contract, working a 5 on 5 off pattern, with rotas explained at the interview.
Housing & Technical Resources seek to recruit a Facilities Assistant (Caretaker) to join our team providing services in East Kilbride, Clyde Tower, and other areas throughout South Lanarkshire Council as required.
You will be responsible for providing daily caretaking services within a multi-storey block of flats, ensuring compliance with standards. You should be able to work shifts including weekends and participate in an out-of-hours standby rota.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills are essential, along with the ability to work independently. You should be a committed team player with previous experience in delivering customer-oriented services.
An understanding of Health & Safety legislation is also essential.
