Job Description
* Ownership of the UK sites to create a common system which meets the requirements of AS9100, EASA/CAA Part 21G, 21J, and EASA & CAA 145 (including FAA & TCCA), in addition to customer-specific requirements.
* Partner with current CAA/EASA UK leadership to create appropriately resourced business units.
* Manage the Special Process Manager's daily activities (e.g., PDR, absentia) and collaborate with VP Quality on priorities.
* Monitor and upgrade the BMS tool as business needs demand.
* Support the Business Process Manager for QUA, assisting the VP Quality as BPO.
* Implement enterprise risk processes with Risk Management BPM support.
* Assist the Special Process Manager in executing RAM, BCP, and Crisis Management tasks.
* Ensure all systems and procedures are aligned with the Group global BMS (OSR).
* Oversee certification and approval of the BMS by customers and third-party bodies.
* Deploy and support SMS requirements for Part 21 and Part 145.
* Manage changes to the BMS affecting Safran Seats GB's continued airworthiness.
* Manage safety objectives in line with Safran BMS.
* Deploy Human Factors training for certifying staff.
* Develop and maintain an audit program for systems and processes.
* Manage auditor qualifications in ETQ and lead audit teams.
* Host external audits as the Quality Systems owner.
* Drive improvements to the BMS and influence wider organizational functions.
* Serve as the SGB regulatory expert, ensuring compliance with new requirements.
* Coordinate corrective actions and lead projects to address findings.
* Lead key transformational projects like CONQUEST and CoNQ.
* Identify training needs related to Quality in collaboration with process owners and business leaders.
The Successful Applicant
The ideal candidate will have:
* A degree or equivalent experience in Engineering or Manufacturing.
* Knowledge of Lean / Six Sigma and improvement tools.
* Deep understanding of aerospace regulations (EASA, FAA, AS9100).
* Experience with 8D analysis, report writing, and risk analysis.
* Preferred certifications: AS9100 Lead Assessor, EASA Part 21/145, FAA 145 auditor.
* Experience dealing with regulatory authorities.
* Background in quality and production.
* Proficiency in MS Office.
* Strong problem-solving skills.
