Overview
Painter and Decorator required at HMP Forest Bank on a 12-month Fixed Term Contract. The role involves maintaining and improving the prison infrastructure. Main Responsibilities
* Carry out reactive and planned decorating projects to ensure operational support is provided to the establishment at all times.
* Ensure all works are undertaken in a safe manner in accordance with good practice and current legislation.
* Adhere to tool management procedures as laid down in the Local Security Strategy.
* Undertake project work as directed by the Technical Facilities Manager.
* Supervise prisoner working parties, where applicable.
* Ensure all work is carried out to the relevant trade standards.
The Ideal Candidate
* Painting and decorating experience.
* High level of interpersonal skills.
* Positive approach to Health and Safety.
* Proactive, systematic approach to tasks.
* Ability to work to correct time schedules and deadlines.
* Team player.
