What You'll Be Doing: Lead daily kitchen operations when the Head Chef is off-site, producing high-quality food for breakfast, lunch, and dinner service Manage and support the team to ensure a smooth, efficient kitchen each day Prepare dishes to recipe specifications, maintaining high standards of taste, presentation, and portion control Monitor and minimise food waste, track stock levels, place orders, and maintain accurate records Receive deliveries and ensure all items are stored correctly following FIFO principles Maintain exceptional hygiene standards and oversee regular deep cleans Ensure all staff are fully trained in their sections and compliant with food safety procedures Support team development and lead by example in a positive and professional environment What We’re Looking For: At least 2 years' experience as a Sous Chef or experienced Senior CDP in a fast-paced environment A relevant culinary qualification or equivalent hands-on experience Strong organisational skills and the ability to work calmly under pressure A proactive leader who can motivate and manage a team effectively Full UK driving licence and regular access to a vehicle (essential) Eligibility to work in the UK and residency for at least the past 3 years Ability to pass enhanced DBS and full security vetting A successful trade test will be required as part of the interview process What You’ll Get in Return: £35,000 salary with excellent work-life balance Free meals on shift and on-site parking Easy access to local transport links Access to our Employee Benefits Platform – including 100s of retail and leisure discounts, an Employee Assistance Programme, and 24/7 online GP access Company benefits including pension contributions, life assurance, and generous holiday allowance (with the option to buy more) Ongoing training and development – including access to apprenticeships and career progression opportunities within Aramark A collaborative, team-focused environment where internal promotion is encouraged Shape the Future of Food in a Role That Offers More Than Just a Kitchen Ready to take the next step in your culinary journey?
