The Loss Foundation is a registered charity specialising in bereavement support for people whose loved ones die of cancer. The charity is run by volunteer psychologists and mental health professionals, and also includes professionals from other fields.
The charity hosts online bereavement support groups and therapeutic events, and offers in-person support across the country through informal get-togethers and walks.
We are expanding our team and seek compassionate, reliable, and conscientious volunteers with excellent communication skills and an interest in helping others.
Honorary psychologist roles involve co-facilitating bereavement support groups and events, supervised by Clinical Psychologists, with ongoing CPD and training.
Ideal candidates will have excellent organisational skills, initiative, flexibility, warmth, and enthusiasm for learning about bereavement support. Volunteers will receive supervision, professional development, and opportunities to contribute to research. We offer training, CPD, and support for those interested in psychology careers, but applications from those with a general interest in helping others are also welcome.

We value offering the best care to an often-overlooked population. We ask for a minimum 2-year commitment, with facilitation sessions 2-3 times a month (evening-based). More information about the charity can be found at www.thelossfoundation.org
Applications must include a cover letter and CV, sent to [emailprotected]. The closing date for applications is 30th June, but early applications are encouraged as the position may close sooner if filled.
Successful applicants will be invited for an interview with the charity team.
