Job title: Damp and mould operative
Salary: £36,000 - £38, 000 + van and fuel card
Location: Covering East London
About the Role
We are seeking a skilled and proactive damp and mould operative to join our team, delivering high-quality repairs and remedial works in occupied and void social housing properties. Working across Maida Vale, you will play a key role in improving residents' homes by addressing damp and mould issues and carrying out painting and decorating tasks to a professional standard.

Responsibilities
* Carry out remedial works to address damp and mould issues in social housing properties, including cleaning, treating affected areas, and applying anti-mould coatings.
* Undertake painting and decorating works internally and externally to a high standard.
* Prepare surfaces (sanding, filling, sealing) before painting or treatment.
* Ensure all work is carried out safely and in line with health and safety regulations.
* Communicate effectively with tenants to explain works and minimise disruption.
* Maintain tools, materials, and company vehicles in good condition.
* Accurately record all completed works using handheld devices or work orders.
* Work as part of a wider maintenance team to deliver excellent customer service
Requirements
* Experience as a Painter & Decorator, with additional knowledge of damp and mould treatment in residential properties.
* Experience working in social housing or similar environments is desirable.
* Strong understanding of health and safety standards, especially in occupied homes.
* Full UK driving licence (essential).
* Relevant trade qualifications (NVQ Level 2/3 in Painting & Decorating or equivalent) are desirable.
