As a Staff Nurse within Bupa’s Diagnostics & Secondary Care services, you’ll deliver safe, compassionate and evidence‑based care, supporting patients through every stage of their journey. You’ll work as a key member of a multidisciplinary team, helping us provide seamless, high‑quality care across a modern and expanding service.
How you’ll help us make health happen
1. Deliver high‑quality, compassionate and evidence‑based nursing care across secondary care services.
2. Assess, plan, implement and evaluate safe and effective care for allocated patients.
3. Communicate clearly and confidently with patients, families and colleagues, acting as a patient advocate where needed.
4. Maintain professional awareness, accountability and compliance with NMC requirements, including revalidation.
5. Recognise and escalate safeguarding concerns, mental capacity needs and clinical risk indicators appropriately.
6. Work collaboratively with consultants and support services to ensure individual patient needs are met.
7. Support junior colleagues and students through mentoring, guidance and role‑modelling.
8. Participate in clinical audits, stock management and other processes that support safe and efficient service delivery.
9. Maintain a strong focus on infection prevention, safety and adherence to clinical and non‑clinical governance.
10. Deputise for the Clinical Team Leader when required, contributing to smooth operational flow.
Key Skills / Qualifications
11. NMC Registered Nurse (first‑level registration).
12. Evidence of continuous professional development.
13. Experience in patient assessment and delivering safe patient care.
14. Venepuncture and wound‑care competency.
15. Strong communication, organisational and clinical decision‑making skills.
16. Experience in Outpatients or Day Case settings.
17. Mentorship training or willingness to undertake it.
