Copello have partnered with a leading defence business in the recruitment of Procurement Professionals / Practitioners to be based in Cumbria. Depending on level, responsibilities will include:Responsibility for sourcing, negotiating, placing & managing contracts to de-risk the programmeWorking in conjunction with the Integrated Delivery Team and cross programme key stakeholdersMaintaining reporting and managing information in line with programme requirements including Cost and spend management, Supplier performance, Schedule delivery performance of data and hardwareMaintenance and creation of Purchase Orders in SAP and associated purchasing systemsAccountability for all related Supply Chain activity in line with area of responsibilityContract management – major subcontract & transactionalUndertaking all aspects of procurement related activity to cost, quality and scheduleDelivering Procurement expertise in line with corporate Procurement policy and process in line with business requirements and performance objectivesYou will have the ability to work as part of a team at pace, be professional within the procurement field and be flexible at all points of the procurement lifecycleUndertaking reporting, data analysis, updating contracting documents and other ad hoc activitiesThe ideal candidates will have the following skills and experience:Excellent communication skills within a similar professional settingSAP knowledge with Previous experience in Procurement preferableProficient IT user – Purchase Order/ERP systems, Microsoft Office applicationsCompetent knowledge of contracts and how to manage these Excellent stakeholder management and communications skills across all levels Strategic approach to tasksEquipment procurement experienceExperience in dealing with high value and volume contracts For more information and to apply for this role, please contact Tina on 07384682203 or tina@copello.co.uk
