Teaching Assistant (Supply Work) Location: North Birmingham Type: Daily Supply/Temporary/Long- and Short-Term contracts
About the Role:
As a Teaching Assistant on supply, you will support teachers in various classroom settings, working with students of all abilities and ages across primary schools in the Midlands. The role is suitable for individuals who are adaptable, reliable, and eager to contribute to children's education and development. Candidates should have relevant UK-recognized qualifications and experience.
Key Responsibilities:
* Supporting teachers with lesson delivery and classroom management.
* Assisting students with learning activities, both individually and in groups.
* Providing extra support to students with additional learning needs.
* Helping to maintain a positive and productive learning environment.
* Offering feedback to teachers on student progress and behaviour.
* Using various schemes of work and systems, including Phonics, to support children's learning.
About You:
* Previous experience working with children or young people, ideally in a UK classroom setting.
* Strong communication skills and ability to work well in a team.
* Adaptable and flexible approach to working in different educational environments.
* Patient and caring attitude with a commitment to supporting students’ academic and personal development.
A DBS check and two professional references are required as part of the onboarding process.
