Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and efficient Warehouse Worker to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of warehouse operations, including materials handling, shipping and receiving, and inventory management. This role requires physical stamina and the ability to perform heavy lifting, ensuring that our warehouse runs smoothly and efficiently.
Responsibilities
* Operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment safely and efficiently.
* Manage inventory using a Warehouse Management System (WMS) to track stock levels.
* Handle materials with care, ensuring proper stocking and storage.
* Perform picking and packing of orders accurately for dispatch.
* Load and unload goods from lorries, ensuring that all items are accounted for.
* Assist in shipping and receiving processes, verifying the accuracy of shipments.
* Maintain a clean and organised work environment to promote safety.
* Collaborate with team members to meet daily operational goals.
Requirements
* Previous warehouse experience is preferred, with a solid understanding of warehouse operations.
* Proficiency in using a forklift; certification is advantageous.
* Familiarity with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) for inventory tracking.
* Strong mechanical knowledge to assist with equipment maintenance when necessary.
* Ability to perform heavy lifting as required by the role.
* Experience in construction or similar fields is a plus.
* Excellent attention to detail for accurate picking, packing, and shipping tasks.
