<div><h3>Description</h3><p>To undertake a variety of tasks to support the members of the non‑delegated Litigation team in achieving Client KPIs and SLAs.</p><p><b>Department:</b> Claims Management</p><p><b>Location:</b> Bolton</p><h3>Key Accountabilities</h3><ul><li>Update case management system with file allocations, diary records, court dates, directions, applications and orders as well as general activity, ensuring accurate recording of activity to allow progress tracking.</li><li>Draft routine court documents such as AOS, Notice of Change, Court Orders, Witness Summons and precedent‑based applications.</li><li> Liaise with Courts, Counsel, Opponents, Experts, Witnesses, Insureds and brokers to progress the case, including requests for extensions, booking counsel etc.</li><li>Follow up on outstanding instructions, documents and other actions to ensure responses are received within required timescales.</li><li>Make payment requests using the appropriate payment request process for the client and chase to ensure payments are received and dispatched within required deadlines.</li><li>Diarise and update CRU.</li><li>Ensure compliance with the SRA Standards & Regulations.</li><li>Undertake additional ad‑hoc duties to support File Handlers and the team, e.g. undertake minor investigations on liability and quantum; complete administrative duties.</li></ul><h3>Working Hours</h3><p>35 hours per week – Monday to Friday 9 am to 5 pm with 1 unpaid hour for lunch.</p><h3>Experience, Skills and Qualifications</h3><ul><li>Experience of working in a legal environment is desirable.</li><li>Good communication skills and experience of negotiating with and influencing 3rd parties to obtain information.</li><li>Demonstrable experience of following a semi‑prescribed programme of work.</li><li>Dealing with calls and enquiries from customers, suppliers and/or the public.</li><li>Gathering and recording information.</li><li>Ability to work under own initiative, prioritising and organising own workload.</li><li>IT Literate; proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word and Outlook).</li><li>Experience of using a Claims/Case Management system.</li><li>Proficient in the use of alpha‑numeric filing systems.</li><li>GCSE grade A–C in Maths and English or equivalent.</li></ul><h3>Benefits</h3><ul><li>Davies Incentive Plan</li><li>25 days holiday per year which increases with level of service (opportunity to buy & sell 3 days)</li><li>Simply Health Care Cash Plan</li><li>WeCare – 24/7 online GP, mental health support and virtual wellbeing covering a whole host of topics to do with health, mental health, wellbeing & healthy living and financial & legal wellbeing</li><li>Death In Service – after 1 year’s service</li><li>Pension Contribution 5% Employee / 3% Employer</li><li>Employee Resource Groups</li><li>Employee Volunteering Programme</li><li>Cycle to Work Scheme (after successfully completing probation)</li><li>Tech Scheme (after successfully completing probation)</li><li>Season Ticket Loan (after successfully completing probation)</li><li>Gym Flex (after successfully completing probation)</li><li>Access to Online Discount Sites</li><li>Discounted Gourmet Society Membership</li><li>Discounted tickets for Merlin Attractions nationwide</li><li>Discounts at local retail outlets</li></ul><h3>Seniority level</h3><p>Entry level</p><h3>Employment type</h3><p>Full‑time</p><h3>Job function</h3><p>Legal</p><h3>Industries</h3><p>Law Practice</p></div>
