Road Freight Coordinator - Manchester - Up to £30,000Due to increased global growth in the business, our client are seeking a Full Time Road Freight Operator to be part of their Road Freight Team within the Manchester office.This position involves managing the daily operations of import and export accounts, ensuring smooth and efficient workflow across all activities.Hours: Monday to Friday - 08:30 - 17:30Salary£28,000 - £30,000 per annum (depending on experience)Key Duties and ResponsibilitiesSupport daily operations and assist the Operations Supervisor in achieving departmental objectivesManage import/export processes, ensuring accuracy and compliance with proceduresPrepare quotations, create job files, and coordinate with clients, subcontractors, and overseas partnersEnsure timely and accurate invoicing, including correct duty/VAT application and payment collectionReview and approve documentation and supplier invoicesMaintain strong customer and internal relationships, supporting audits and operational requirementsAssist with credit control and follow up on outstanding paymentsUse and maintain internal systems, ensuring all data and reports are accurate and up to dateCommunicate with sales teams, sharing leads and coordinating shipment handoversIdentify cost-saving opportunities and support process improvementsProvide cover for colleagues and undertake overtime when requiredSkills, Experience and CompetenciesAt least 1 year of experience in a land freight or similar logistics role (road freight experience required)Sponsorship is not on offer for this roleStrong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneouslyAbility to prioritise workload independently while working effectively within a teamExcellent communication skills, both written and verbalProficiency in IT systems, including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel) and CRM platformsSolid administrative background with strong analytical ability and attention to detailWR Logistics are the #1 recruitment partner for all vacancies in the logistics industry.
