Pastoral Lead – Behaviours
Dynamic secondary school require an experienced Pastoral Lead or Head of Year to support in the management of challenging behaviours at this large secondary school. Are you a current Pastoral Lead or Head of Year looking for a new challenge? Do you have previous experience supporting young people who have struggled to engage with education? This school needs you!
As a Pastoral Lead at this school, you will be providing on-call support for teachers, offering additional classroom management support, running interventions for students who have struggled to engage, communicating with parents, and tracking student progress. The role requires an empathetic, resilient individual who can build positive professional relationships with students. You will join a small, effective team of pastoral staff committed to improving behaviours and attendance. Previous school-based experience is essential.
Job Role:
1. Providing support for students across Key Stage 3 & 4.
2. Delivering 1-2-1 intervention sessions focused on improving behaviours and personal development.
3. Effectively communicating with parents, carers, and outside agencies.
4. Working with a small team of experienced Pastoral Leads to provide outstanding support.
5. Attending safeguarding meetings with the DSL and safeguarding team.
6. Ensuring that students are supported effectively across Key Stage 4.
