Overview
Succession Planning and Talent Management Lead – Hywel Dda University Health Board. The Organisation Development (OD) Department supports the delivery of the Workforce, Organisational Development and Education Strategy 2020-2030. You will join an OD team that is friendly, supportive, creative and dynamic, focused on leadership development programmes, Talent Management, Succession Planning and Coaching. We are seeking a warm, friendly and vibrant person with excellent interpersonal skills, strong organisational abilities and advanced digital proficiency, who listens well and understands the importance of good senior leadership talent management and is dedicated to identifying and developing our future leaders. Driving improvements across the Health Board to spot and nurture talent, you will engage staff across a wide range of settings to recognise needs, create a healthy pipeline of talent and support us to build a first-class organisation.
Responsibilities
* Create meaningful work & growth opportunities for staff, identifying leadership potential
* Create 'stretch' opportunities
* Implement & manage an internal mentoring framework to include reverse mentoring
* Harness & mobilise internal leadership talent & ambition
* Effectively manage & progress the senior leadership talent management process
* Analyse information to produce/present tailored reports to a variety of audiences within agreed timescales
* To support & drive innovation and efficiencies across TMSP processes, including Power BI, 365 automation

About the organisation
Hywel Dda University Health Board plans and provides NHS healthcare services for people living in Carmarthenshire, Ceredigion, Pembrokeshire, and bordering counties. We have over 13,000 staff and together we provide primary, community, in-hospital, mental health and learning disabilities services. We work in partnership with the three local authorities, as well as public, private and third sector colleagues, including our valued team of volunteers.
Our services are provided in
* Four main hospitals: Bronglais Hospital in Aberystwyth; Glangwili Hospital in Carmarthen; Prince Philip Hospital in Llanelli; and Withybush Hospital in Haverfordwest
* Five community hospitals: Amman Valley and Llandovery hospitals in Carmarthenshire; Tregaron Hospital in Ceredigion; and Tenby and South Pembrokeshire hospitals in Pembrokeshire
* Two integrated care centres: Aberaeron and Cardigan in Ceredigion, and several other community settings
* 47 general practices (six of which are health board managed); dental practices (including four orthodontic); 97 community pharmacies; 43 general ophthalmic practices; 8 ophthalmic domiciliary providers
