Based in Speke, Liverpool, they design and deliver systems that help household-name logistics and manufacturing clients move goods more efficiently. The team is practical, technically minded, and down to earth.</p><h3>The role</h3><p>This is the number one health and safety position for Joloda’s UK operations, covering manufacturing, installation, field service, and office-based activity. Reporting to the Operations Director, your central objective is to continuously drive down accident frequency and severity rates across all areas of the business. You’ll maintain and build on the management systems already in place, lead the cultural shift that gets everyone on board, and be the competent person the business relies on when regulators, insurers, or customers require it. The person before you built the structure from the ground up. Your job is to bring it to life — and make the numbers move.</p><h3>What You’ll Do</h3><ul><li>Maintain and continuously improve ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 across UK operations</li><li>Lead incident investigations, RIDDOR reporting, and corrective action tracking</li><li>Support manufacturing, installation, and field service teams with RAMS, permits, and site HSE requirements</li><li>Manage relationships with the HSE, insurers, certification bodies, and key customers</li><li>Chair Safety and Environmental Committee meetings and manage Management Reviews</li><li>Deliver toolbox talks, inductions, and briefings that people actually engage with</li><li>Manage contractor assessment, approval, and on-site monitoring</li><li>Continuously drive down accident frequency and severity rates in all areas</li></ul><h3>Essential</h3><ul><li>Proven background in health and safety within manufacturing, engineering, or a similar industrial environment</li><li>NEBOSH General Certificate – Joloda can help you obtain diploma</li><li>Direct experience dealing with the HSE, insurers, or external auditors</li><li>Good working knowledge of UK health and safety legislation</li><li>A fantastic communicator, with the ability to communicate at all levels</li></ul><h3>Useful, Not Essential</h3><ul><li>NEBOSH Diploma, or actively working towards it</li><li>Experience maintaining ISO 14001 and ISO 45001</li><li>Multi-site HSE management experience</li><li>Membership of IOSH, IIRSM, or IEMA</li></ul><h3>Package & working arrangements</h3><p><b>Financial:</b>£48,000–£55,000, depending on experience.</p><p><b>Development:</b> Joloda will sponsor NEBOSH Diploma study, with a clear path to a group-level role for the right person.</p><p><b>Flexibility:</b> Split your time between Speke and Anglesey. A company car is provided.</p><p><b>Holiday:</b> 25 days + bank holidays. Company pension included.</p><p><b>Location:</b> Speke, Liverpool, with weekly travel to Anglesey.
