We are currently seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Paralegal to join our department.
The Role
This is an exciting opportunity for an aspiring legal professional to gain hands‑on experience in a supportive environment. As a Paralegal, you will play a vital role in supporting our fee earners, managing case files, and ensuring the smooth running of client matters. This role offers excellent progression opportunities for the right candidate, including potential support for training contracts / SQE qualification.
Key Responsibilities
* Case Management: Assist solicitors with the day‑to‑day management of case files, ensuring all documentation is up to date and compliant.
* Drafting: Prepare legal documents, forms, witness statements, and correspondence under supervision.
* Client Communication: Act as a primary point of contact for clients, taking initial instructions, providing updates, and managing inquiries via phone and email.
* Legal Research: Conduct research on relevant laws, regulations, and legal articles to assist with case preparation.
* Administrative Support: Manage court bundles, schedule appointments, and perform general administrative tasks such as filing and billing.
* Court Attendance: Attend court hearings with counsel or solicitors to take notes and assist where necessary (if applicable).
Who We Are Looking For
Education: A Law Degree (LLB) or GDL is required. Completion of the LPC or SQE1 is highly desirable.
Experience: At least 6–12 months of previous experience working in a legal environment of litigation or conveyancing is preferred, though exceptional graduates will be considered.
* Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
* Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office and case management systems
