Job Summary
Ofgem is at the forefront of the fight to strengthen cyber resilience across Britain’s energy system, driving the secure, ethical and innovative use of digital technologies in the transition to Net Zero. We’re looking for a Cyber Delivery Lead to join us and power the successful delivery of our cyber strategy and policy ambitions.
Ofgem is Great Britain’s independent energy regulator. We’re at the forefront of change across the energy sector, driving toward Net Zero whilst protecting energy consumers, especially vulnerable people.
We’re offering a permanent opportunity within our Cyber Regulation and Artificial Intelligence Directorate at a pivotal time for cyber policy and regulatory reform. This is a newly established role, where you’ll help embed strong delivery foundations across both strategy and policy activity. You’ll operate in a fast-moving, high-profile environment where effective project management and governance are critical to achieving successful outcomes.
You’ll bring clarity, structure and momentum to complex programmes of work. Working across multidisciplinary teams, you’ll enable confident decision-making, strengthen risk management and ensure milestones are met with pace and precision. This is the ideal role for someone who champions delivery excellence and sees governance as a strategic enabler of impact.
We’re looking for someone with proven experience of delivering complex projects or programmes in a policy or legislative environment, with strong interpersonal skills and the ability to motivate and align diverse teams. You’ll bring sound judgement in risk management, planning and resource forecasting, alongside the confidence to influence stakeholders and drive accountability in a collaborative setting.
In return, you’ll join a mission-led, expert directorate that is recognised as a leader in cyber regulation. We offer hybrid working, generous civil service pension and leave benefits, and the opportunity to shape delivery at the heart of one of the most important public policy missions of our time.
We have a critical purpose to drive cyber resilience across the energy sector and its clean transition, ensuring digital and operational technologies are secure, ethical and fit for a Net Zero future. In this role, you will enable that purpose by strengthening delivery capability, embedding effective governance and ensuring our cyber strategy translates into tangible, high-quality outcomes.
