Job Description This role is for CNC setter and operators for either Turning or Milling machines. CNC Setter / Operator is responsible for accurately setting up and operating multi‑axis CNC milling and turning machines in a high‑volume, precision shop. The role demands proficiency with Heidenhain and Fanuc controls, and the ability to translate detailed engineering drawings into flawless component parts. Select and mount cutting tools, fixtures, and measuring tools according to approved specifications. Configure machine parameters (feeds, speeds, tool offsets, coolant, etc.) Perform “prove‑out” runs and adjust setups to achieve target tolerances. Proficient in Fanuc and Heidenhain control languages and post‑processing. Measure finished parts with precision instruments and verify compliance with engineering drawings. Work with engineering to develop and refine machining strategies for high‑value production parts. Identify and implement improvements in tool selection, tooling layouts, and machining cycles.
