Facilities Supervisor
Mercia Park ( DE12)
Mon-Fri 8:30-16:30


The Facilities Supervisor is responsible for ensuring the safe, compliant, and efficient operation of warehouse and office facilities within a fast-paced logistics environment. This role oversees maintenance activities, manages contractors, and leads on-site teams to support business continuity and operational excellence.


What will you be doing?

Facilities & Building Maintenance
• Lead day-to-day maintenance operations across warehouse and office facilities.
• Ensure building fabric (floors, walls, roofing, docks, doors, etc.) is maintained to a high standard.
• Manage planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive works via the Planon system.

Equipment & Infrastructure
• Oversee maintenance of critical infrastructure, including dock levellers, roller doors, HVAC, lighting, plumbing, and electrical systems.
• Coordinate specialist contractors for servicing and statutory inspections.
• Minimise operational disruption during maintenance activity.


Health, Safety & Compliance
• Ensure full compliance with Health & Safety legislation and internal standards.
• Maintain statutory inspection records (e.g. fire alarms, emergency lighting, lifts).
• Conduct regular site inspections and manage permit-to-work processes.
• Oversee waste management suppliers and contractor inductions.


Contractor, Budget & Team Management
• Manage external contractors and suppliers through Planon, ensuring value for money and service quality.
• Identify cost-saving opportunities and approve invoices.
• Supervise on-site maintenance staff, reception, and cleaning teams, providing guidance and workload planning.


Documentation & Audit


• Maintain accurate, audit-ready maintenance records.
• Support internal and external audits as required.


About You


• Previous experience in facilities or maintenance supervision
• Proven contractor management experience
• Strong technical knowledge of facilities and building maintenance
• Sound understanding of Health & Safety regulations
• Health & Safety qualification (IOSH / NEBOSH desirable)
• Experience within a warehouse or logistics environment (preferred)
• Organised, solutions-focused, and able to manage multiple priorities
• Confident communicator with strong stakeholder management skills
• Proactive and hands-on leadership style
• Detail-oriented with strong commercial awareness
• Calm, resilient, and effective under pressure
