Salary: £49,500* up to £66,000* per annum

Your Role
As a Customs Consultant / Business Process Expert, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our Customs team systems and audit dashboard. Collaborating closely with the Customs Team Manager and Tax colleagues, you will:
* Support customs compliance across the Customs & Imports team.
* Utilize your expert knowledge of SAP GTS and data analytics tools like MicroStrategy.
* Maintain and develop data interfaces with external stakeholders and brokers.
* Act as a subject matter expert on import operations and customs compliance.
* Assess costs and risks linked to international trade operations.
* Proactively resolve queries related to customs documentation.
* Conduct quarterly internal audits and prepare performance reports.
* Ensure accurate and timely CDS declarations by brokers.
* Plan and manage import/export projects as they arise.
What You’ll Need
To thrive in this role, you should have:
* A degree in International Trade Compliance or equivalent qualifications.
* Advisory and audit experience with HMRC or large consultancies (desirable).
* In-depth knowledge of international customs regulations and trade agreements.
* Experience in customs bonded warehousing and import/export operations, especially in FMCG.
* A detail-oriented approach for accurate data presentation.
* Technical knowledge of SAP GTS and MicroStrategy tools.
* Experience with SPS controls and/or BTOM controls (advantageous).
