About the role:
The purpose of this role is to run the day-to-day warehouse operations effectively and efficiently, collaborating with Service Partners and staff. The role involves motivating, coaching, and developing shift managers to achieve the best quality in all operational areas. The main goal is to achieve service excellence and ensure KPI and standard adherence in line with company targets and customer expectations.
Key Responsibilities:
* Develop understanding of warehouse operations to ensure service levels are met.
* Ensure regular employee briefings in line with company communications and strategy.
* Maintain compliance with company standards and KPIs, setting high standards in all areas.
* Manage employee performance and conduct reviews as per company procedures.
* Review cost performance against location targets and staffing levels.
* Ensure compliance with guidelines on timekeeping, attendance, work performance, and appearance.
* Plan and monitor staffing against productivity needs to ensure appropriate resources.
* Perform other duties as reasonably required or instructed by the Site/Area Manager.
The ideal candidate will have:
* Shift management experience in the parcel industry.
* Experience leading a team of at least 12 members.
* Experience with statistical analysis and data processing.
* Good knowledge of relevant computer systems.
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills, compliant with Data Protection Regulations.
