Corporate Security Manager
Location: Cowley, Oxford
Salary: GBP38,843.22 per year
Job Type: Full Time, Permanent
Hours: Predominantly Monday to Friday 07:00–17:00, with some flexibility required.

About the Role: Our customer is one of the leading pharmaceutical companies in the UK. We are looking to appoint an experienced security professional to manage and develop a team of Security Officers and serve as the key point of contact for the customer. The successful candidate will manage nine full‑time Security Officers, develop and maintain an effective roster, and ensure appropriate coverage at all times.
Responsibilities:
* Lead and mentor a team of nine full‑time Security Officers.
* Develop and manage roster schedules to guarantee coverage.
* Advise on high‑level security matters and engage with stakeholders and external agencies.
* Create and implement effective security policies and procedures.
* Maintain high standards of response and communication within the team.
* Oversee team performance and conduct monthly inspections.
* Recruit additional staff as required.
* Collaborate with contractors to ensure integration of security systems.
* Provide support outside regular hours when necessary.
Candidate Skills & Experience:
* Proven experience managing a security team and building effective working relationships.
* Full manual UK driving licence.
* Strong coordination, planning, and strategic thinking skills.
* Excellent time‑management and organisational abilities.
* Strong communication skills and a friendly, approachable manner.
* Ability to chair meetings and delegate tasks effectively.
* Proficient in MS Office Suite.
* Confidence and ability to persuade and negotiate.
* Experience in pharmaceutical or manufacturing industries is desirable.

Additional Information: All successful candidates will be required to undergo security screening in accordance with BS 7858 and demonstrate a five‑year checkable employment or educational history. A current SIA licence and suitable training and certification are mandatory for this role.
