Job Description

PPD, a leading laboratory and clinical research company, is opening a state-of-the-art laboratory in Suzhou New District in March 2020. PPD Laboratories provides comprehensive laboratory services to accelerate pharmaceutical development for small molecules, biologics, and vaccines, enabling clients to make faster decisions across all phases of drug development.

As an Assist/Associate in the Vaccine Sciences department, you will utilize advanced technologies and techniques for high-quality sample analysis and testing for pharmaceutical and biotech clients. Your role is crucial in helping PPD achieve its goal of bringing life-changing therapies to market.

Responsibilities:

1. Perform routine sample preparation and analysis to measure pharmaceutical and biopharmaceutical compounds across various formulations and biological matrices.
2. Train on routine operation, maintenance, and theory of analytical instrumentation, SOPs, and regulatory guidelines.
3. Communicate project status to the project leader.
4. Maintain accurate laboratory notebooks and documentation according to SOP and GLPs.
5. Complete work assignments accurately, timely, and safely.
6. Review, interpret, and analyze data for technical quality and compliance with protocols, SOPs, client criteria, GMP, and GLP standards.
7. Follow validated or experimental bioanalytical procedures, including PCR, ELISA, neutralization antibody tests, and support pharmaceutical development and testing in a GLP environment.
8. Work independently and in teams, with supervision from a group leader, including data review and report preparation.

Education and Experience:

* B.S. or Master's degree in Biology, Chemistry, Biochemistry, Medicine, Biotechnology, Immunology, Virology, Bacteriology, Clinical Lab Sciences, or related fields.
* At least 2 years of relevant work experience.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

* Support testing and analysis in vaccine sciences, including assay performance and documentation.
* Manual dexterity for pipetting and lab equipment operation.
* Experience with assays such as bioassays, immunoassays, ELISA, PCR, cell culture, etc.
* Microbiological techniques experience is a plus.
* Understanding of aseptic and sterile techniques.
* Effective communication and ability to follow detailed instructions.
* Teamwork and independent work skills.
* Time management and accurate documentation skills.
