Rate: £40.31 per hour umbrella (InsideIR35)

Overview:
1. The role of the Quality Engineer II is to support to the Quality Function in order to achieve a scope of work (Submarine Programme facing) which ensures that the Business Unit remains compliant to the local Quality Business Management System
2. Competent Quality professional capable of managing own tasks, delivering results, escalating problem areas
3. Conducts Quality activities in accordance with the relevant processes and procedures
4. Domain areas include, but are not limited to: Quality Assurance, Supplier Quality Assurance, Supplier Improvements, Quality Improvements, Quality Engineering, Quality Reporting, Quality Systems.
Key Deliverables:
5. Work as a fully contributory member of the Quality team
6. Responsible for demonstrating SHE and responsible business behaviours
7. Undertake routine Quality Assurance activities in their related area
8. Undertake non-routine and or complex Quality Assurance activities in their related area with minimal supervision
9. Manage own development
10. Able to access, have a clear understanding of and develop the local Management System documentation e.g. policies, procedures, workmanship standards, risk assessments and processes in their related area
11. Liaise / interface with appropriate areas of the business and build effective relationships
12. Responsible for conducting internal audits
13. Responsible for supporting non-conformances management
14. Responsible for supporting Quality investigations
15. The ability to analyse data effectively resulting in themes and corrective actions
16. Support requirements relating to certification activities
17. Use of Company computer systems and software as appropriate
18. The ability to articulate and deliver Quality objectives
19. The ability to contribute in team meetings and working groups
20. The ability to produce written reports and presentations ensuring accuracy and clarity of meaning
21. Support the delivery of results via continuous improvement activities
22. Support Submarine programme from a Quality perspective.
23. Support delivery of quality requirements within the Submarine Programme
Key Knowledge / Skills / Qualifications:
Knowledge:
24. Understanding and application of ISO 9001/ EN9100 and other applicable quality standards
25. Understanding of Business Management Systems, the Operational Framework and Operational Assurance process
26. Awareness of product safety requirements
27. Understand the importance of cross functional integration
28. Export requirements knowledge (for example International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR)) (where applicable)
29. Understanding of Auditing to quality standards
30. Previous BAE Submarines experience preferred
Skills:
31. The ability to interpret specifications, procedures and contract requirements
32. Working knowledge of Root Cause Analysis (RCA) methodologies; Fishbone, 5 Why, relationship diagrams, six sigma etc. gathering and analysing evidence cross functionally
33. Effective action management and verification
34. Effective stakeholder management
35. Effective Teamworking
Qualifications:
36. NC or HNC qualified in an appropriate technical discipline or equivalent Quality experience
