Job Title - Finance Manager
Location - Onsite (Pershore, Worcestershire)
Reporting To - Head of Finance

The Role
Advanced Water Company is seeking a structured and commercially aware Finance Department Manager to oversee the operational delivery of our finance function.
Reporting to the Head of Finance, this is a hands-on role responsible for maintaining financial accuracy, ensuring disciplined month-end reporting and supporting working capital visibility within a growing SME environment.
The position plays a key role in maintaining financial stability and operational control as the business continues to scale.

Key Responsibilities

• Support month-end close and deliver accurate management accounts.

• Maintain financial control and ledger integrity across the business.

• Ensure reconciliations are completed consistently and on time.

• Manage VAT, pension, payroll and statutory compliance processes.

• Monitor debtor and creditor balances to support cash flow management

• Supervise and support Finance Team.

• Contribute to process improvement and reporting consistency.

• Support the ongoing development of financial systems and internal controls.
Key Skills & Experience

• 3–5+ years' experience in a similar finance role.

• Part-qualified or qualified accountant (AAT / ACCA / CIMA preferred).

• Strong technical accounting capability and management accounts experience.

• Experience operating within an SME environment (distribution or wholesale advantageous).

• ERP experience (Sage 200 preferred).

• Excel capability.

• Organised, detail-oriented and deadline-driven.

• Commercial awareness and ability to communicate financial information clearly.

• Professional, calm and structured in approach.
