Behaviour Support Assistant – PRU, Caerphilly
Term-Time | Full-Time | Monday – Friday | 08:30 – 15:00 | £90 per day

We are working with a Pupil Referral Unit (PRU) in Caerphilly is looking for a compassionate and motivated Behaviour Support Assistant to join their team.
Working in a PRU means you’ll be supporting KS3 and KS4 pupils who may have struggled in mainstream education, giving them the encouragement, guidance, and tools they need to succeed. If you thrive on creating positive, life-changing experiences for students, this role is for you.

What You’ll Do
* Provide 1:1 and small group support for students with social, emotional, and behavioural needs.
* Collaborate with teachers to create engaging, inclusive classroom experiences.
* Encourage positive behaviour and support students in managing challenges.
* Work with learners with Additional Learning Needs (ALN), including ASD, ADHD, dyslexia, and social-emotional difficulties.
Who We’re Looking For
* Experience supporting children or young people with ALN or behavioural needs.
* Previous roles in youth work, education, coaching, support work, or community roles are ideal.
* Confidence in using positive behaviour strategies to help students engage and succeed.
* Passion for working with young people who may not thrive in mainstream school settings.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
