Working hours: 32 hours per week (working a 2 week shift pattern, Monday - Sunday, either on a Main Shift 8.00am - 4.30pm or
a Late Shift 1.00pm - 9.30pm)

We provide accommodation and a support hub in Reading city centre for people experiencing homelessness. We are looking for an Assistant Support Worker to assist our Support Team provide high quality support to our vulnerable homeless clients.
Key Responsibilities:
The role of an Assistant Support Worker is to assist our Support Workers and other colleagues deliver a high quality programme of support promoting client choice and control.
You will address client support needs, enable clients to make positive life choices and ultimately empower clients to independently sustain their own home. You will also cover reception, administration and housekeeping duties which include manual handling, contributing to the successful operation of our two Reading Lifehouses.
The successful candidate(s) will be able to demonstrate:
1. Good verbal and written communication skills
2. Ability to lone work and manage challenging situations.
3. Proficient in a range of IT applications
4. Passion to assist supporting vulnerable clients to achieving positive life outcomes
5. Skills in customer service and managing a busy workload
