EVENTS CO-ORDINATOR wanted at FARMERS' Welsh Lavender Ltd to start ASAP
5 days per week including occasional weekend day. Permanent role with 3 month probation period.
The job is based in a bright, modern, stylish workspace north of Brecon at LD2 3HU.
£14/hr to start
This is a new position for our small, dynamic company situated high in the hills of mid Wales.
Welsh Lavender Ltd grows and distils lavender and makes a body care range called FARMERS'. Products are made on the farm and in North Wales then dispatched to customers around the world.
The farm is a popular tourist destination. The fields, wild swimming pond, sauna, shop and café are a magnet for visitors.
FARMERS' flagship store is in nearby Hay-on-Wye.
All members of the team at FARMERS' call themselves Farmhands and all have our own areas of responsibility and expertise.
Our new Events Co-ordinator will have excellent organisational and administrative skills to assist across all aspects of the business with special responsibility for events.
You will also be an important player in FARMERS' customer relations.
You will work closely with all members of the team and need to be able to respond quickly and efficiently to the day-to-day administrative tasks involved in running a creative ecommerce and retail brand.
This is an eclectic job for a highly motivated, multi skilled person who would like to join a small team of friendly people who work closely together high on our Welsh hillside. The range of duties is wide. Priorities can shift from welcoming a tour group for tea and cake to packing up our monthly order for London's Savoy Hotel.
Some tasks you'll face
Managing farm events – tea parties, workshops, corporate away days or a wedding
Promoting our venue as a destination for events and seeking new business
Liaising with stockists and clients
Writing and replying to emails from customers
Help to ensure daily smooth running of the business
Packing & dispatching online & wholesale orders
Contribute ideas in creative sessions
Sometimes everyone pitches in to:
* Welcome visitors to the farm
* Serve refreshments
* Occasional outdoor work
