Deputy Shop Manager
Responsibilities:
Motivate teams, create a safe and energized work environment, enforce high standards, drive results, delegate tasks, communicate effectively, attract new supporters, manage day‑to‑day operations, support commercial activities, and assist the shop manager in managing the shop.
This is a 15‑hour role (including 4 hours on Sundays) that includes online listing.
Key Skills and Competencies
* Ability to support development and maintenance of a successful, inclusive and diverse team to maintain day to day shop activities.
* Some commercial awareness with ability to support effective retail processes and strong merchandising.
* Ability to work collaboratively with the Shop Manager, build positive relationships with other colleagues, provide excellent customer service, and engage with the local community and other civil society organisations.
* Ability to demonstrate resilience to everyday pressures and manage conflicting demands, seeking appropriate support, advice and guidance when needed.
* Numerate and financially literate, able to interpret basic financial reports, monitor budgets and maintain shop administrative systems.
