Job Description

Working within the Public Safety business, you will be responsible for defining policies and standards that guide technology delivery, with significant experience in modern, cloud-based technology standards and practices.
As Solution Architect, you will lead a team of architects and provide architectural design and technology roadmaps for complex Policing and National Security applications supporting high-volume, mission-critical products and services. There will also be opportunities to oversee architectural needs within our Control Room application suites.
You will collaborate with Product Managers, Delivery, and Technical Leads to influence and define a technology roadmap aligning with our commercial and technical goals.
The core aim is to provide technical assurance ensuring successful deployment of NECSWS Public Safety products into clients while protecting our commercial interests.
Successful candidates will be able to mediate between stakeholders and explain complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences, confidently communicate with stakeholders at all levels, and understand the evolutionary nature of technology delivery in an agile environment. You will facilitate discussions about high risk and complex issues within constrained timescales.
Responsibilities
1. Ensure scope of supply is correctly documented and maintained
2. Identify and manage technical project risks
3. Document and agree on non-functional requirements from customers
4. Conduct practical impact assessments with well-defined scope and implementation strategies, utilizing existing products where possible
5. Identify opportunities for selling additional product capabilities
Qualifications
Knowledge/awareness of:
* C++, C#, SQL Server, Windows platforms, Domains / AD, Mitel skills based routing integration
Practical knowledge of:
* C coding, SIP protocol, VOIP – RTP / RTCP, latency/jitter handling
In-depth knowledge of:
* Tetra network behaviours (Motorola Dimetra), 3GPP network behaviours (Kodiak MCX), MCX API with Softil SDK, Analogue Radio (VHF, MF), Telephone PABX, Airwave certification, EISEC service
Additional Responsibilities
Manage customer relationships, support technical issues, assist in bid processes, and promote architectural vision within teams.
