We will provide the successful applicant for this role with a structured programme of training, leading to a Level 3 Business Administrator apprenticeship standard, along with many other practical skills.
For this Apprentice Administrator role, the salary is based on the National Apprenticeship rate for the first 12 months, after which the rate is dependent on age.
Responsibilities
* Take sales and operational enquiries and complaints via telephone, email, web chat and instant messaging, liaising with the relevant personnel/departments in a friendly, helpful, and professional manner at all times.
* Input customer sales orders and ensure that order statuses are up to date on our systems and reports.
* Place orders with suppliers for new and used machinery, workshop consumables, and parts for the engineering team.
* Coordinate with the engineering teams to ensure that the machines are progressing in line with customer requirements.
* Plan transportation in an efficient manner to meet customer requirements while ensuring the drivers\ working time directive is adhered to.
* Maintain and improve our website by adding and removing live adverts, updating the stock list, and providing ongoing ideas for improvement.
* Maintain and improve health and safety standards within the depot office.
* General administration to ensure compliance with all in-house procedures are adhered to.
Candidate profile / Suitable for
This Apprentice Administrator role would suit candidates with experience or an interest in developing their skills in administration, communication, client support, telephony, inbound/outbound, order processing, IT literacy, and presentation, or as an administrator or admin assistant.

* A keen eye for detail with a proactive attitude.
* As this is a customer-facing role, excellent communication skills and a friendly approach are essential.
* Timekeeping, using initiative and ability to create ideas will be important; proficiency in these skills is expected.
