We are looking to recruit one full time Account Manager to our busy Council Tax and NNDR Services. This role will be based in the business rates team. Are you someone who enjoys a challenge? Our Account Managers provide a high quality, holistic approach to maximising collection for the Council and are expected to come up with innovative solutions for difficult cases as well as having difficult conversations with residents and businesses.
As an Account Manager you will deal with complex casework covering all aspects of local taxation administration and collection. This includes complex liability and recovery issues as well as managing your own caseload and meeting performance target.
This role will give you the chance to also prepare cases for committal and insolvency and support other officers who will prosecute at court for the Council.
From time to time our Account Managers help with projects and new ideas so the role offers you the opportunity to develop your skills.

We are a friendly team and mainly work from home with some office days based at our newly refurbished offices in Alexandra House on Moss Lane East in Hulme.

To achieve your targets and help us improve our Service you will have excellent communication, ICT and administrative skills as well as being able to plan and organise yourself.
