We are seeking a Principal Network & Cyber Security Engineer with experience in Automation & Control Network design & implementation to join our Systems Integration team.
As a Principal Network & Cyber Security Engineer, you will support our projects by providing expertise in cyber security, networking, secure architectures, vulnerability & risk assessments, and related technologies & procedures. Your role involves discovering vulnerabilities & risks in networks, software systems, & data centers through ongoing scans, monitoring data, and ensuring updates to hardware & software.
Our Systems Integration team works with high-profile clients across the energy sector, delivering automation & control solutions for safer and more efficient operations.
Within the team, you'll help architect digital ecosystems that are inherently safe, cyber-secure, and operable, integrating client source systems across IT & OT environments, and securely managing OT data for transformation.
Responsibilities
* Design, implement, & test networks supporting Automation & Control Systems
* Identify & define network requirements for automation & control solutions
* Develop detailed network architecture & data flow diagrams
* Produce cybersecurity implementation specifications & network schedules
* Create testing procedures & migration strategies
* Select suitable network components & review vendor drawings
* Support project objectives & apply integration concepts across systems & vendors
* Conduct Cyber Security Risk Assessments & advise on mitigation
* Evaluate client security posture & identify vulnerabilities
* Stay current with security trends, threats, & best practices
Skills & Qualifications
* BSc Degree or equivalent experience
* Experience in Control System Network Design Engineering
* Knowledge of IEC62443 & IEC 27001 standards
* Experience with automation & control platforms, including Rockwell & Schneider PLC/SCADA systems (advantageous)
* Understanding of cybersecurity standards, data protection, & compliance
* Hands-on experience with cybersecurity tools
* Strong organizational skills & attention to detail
Desirable
* Knowledge of process automation & real-time systems
* Experience with vulnerability, risk management, & penetration testing tools
