Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Podiatrist to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for diagnosing and treating various foot and ankle conditions, providing comprehensive care to patients of all ages. The Podiatrist will utilize advanced medical technologies and techniques to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
Duties
* Conduct thorough physical examinations and assessments of patients' feet and ankles.
* Diagnose conditions such as bunions, heel pain, diabetic foot issues, and other podiatric disorders.
* Develop individualized treatment plans, including surgical and non-surgical options.
* Perform minor surgical procedures as needed, including suturing and wound care.
* Utilize EHR systems for accurate documentation of patient records and treatment plans.
* Collaborate with other healthcare professionals in areas such as orthopedics, endocrinology, and vascular interventional radiography to provide holistic patient care.
* Educate patients on foot health, preventive measures, and post-operative care.
* Stay current with advancements in podiatry through clinical research and continued education.
Skills
* Proficient in EHR systems and EMR systems for effective patient management.
* Knowledge of medical imaging techniques relevant to podiatry.
* Experience in perioperative care and post-operative management.
* Familiarity with various medical specialties including dermatology, cardiology, endocrinology, and gastroenterology.
* Strong patient assessment skills with the ability to triage effectively.
* Basic life support certification is required; advanced certifications are a plus.
* Excellent communication skills for effective patient interaction and education.
* Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
