Automation Sales Engineer - South
The Role:
This is an exciting opportunity to join a globally respected manufacturer in a key growth area - industrial automation. As Automation Sales Engineer, you will be responsible for developing business across the South of the UK selling a range of hardware and software which are at the forefront of industrial automation technologies. You will be one of two Automation experts in the UK for this business and as such you will be seen as the 'go to' person for the external regional sales team, who are working across multiple product lines and sectors, for when they need support with specific industrial automation projects.
Your market focus will be on the OEMs who operate within the supply chains leading into data centers, marine & offshore, power & substations, as well as machine builders and panel builders. Here you will have a mix of specification selling whereby you are getting solutions onto frameworks as well as selling product directly where there is an immediate need. As such, someone who has a varied approach to sales within the automation space would be beneficial.
Not only will the Automation Sales Engineer be spending time with building demand with the OEMs, but you will also be supporting your key distribution partners across the area as around 80% of your sales activity will be directed through that channel. As such, working with automation & electronics distributors in your recent history is a requirement.
Candidate Requirements:
To be considered for the Automation Sales Engineer - South role:
* Proven field sales experience in industrial automation sales
* Background in selling to Design Engineers and commercial decision makers
* Strong understanding of the UK manufacturing sector
* Comfortable with lots of travel and occasional international trips
The Package for Automation Sales Engineer - South:
* £50,000 - 58,000 basic salary DOE
* 10-15% annual bonus
* Tesla company car or £843/month car allowance
* 25 days holiday plus Bank Holidays
* Up to 10% employer pension contribution
* Life assurance x3 salary
* Denplan and optional private health insurance
