We're recruiting for a Finance Assistant to join a dynamic and fast-paced organisation for a 15-month maternity cover position. This is a fantastic opportunity for a finance professional looking to take ownership of a broad range of responsibilities and contribute to strategic financial decision-making.
You'll play a key role in supporting the finance function across multiple business units, with responsibilities including:
* Day-to-day finance operations
– managing accounts receivable and payable, processing invoices, supporting payroll reporting, and reviewing expense claims with accurate VAT treatment.
* Reporting & analysis
– preparing monthly management accounts, revenue reports, and performance metrics, while supporting cashflow forecasting, budgeting, and financial analysis.
* Compliance & audit
– handling VAT returns, FCRS submissions, and liaising with auditors during half-year and year-end audits.
* Financial control
– ensuring accuracy in job costing, work-in-progress, and intercompany reconciliations, as well as assisting with pricing and gross margin calculations.
* Team support
– line managing the Accounts Administrator and providing ad-hoc support to the Finance Director, CFO, and wider finance team.
