Are you ready for a fresh start and a new challenge? We’re looking for a skilled Plant Fitter / Plant Engineer to join a busy, growing engineering team based in Haydock.
This is a varied role combining workshop-based engineering with mobile breakdown cover when field service engineers are on annual leave—perfect if you enjoy both hands-on workshop work and on-site problem solving.
The Role
As a Plant Fitter, you’ll be responsible for keeping a wide range of construction plant operating at peak performance, including:
Servicing, maintaining, diagnosing faults, carrying out PDIs, and completing damage repairs to a high standard
Attending breakdowns and carrying out on-site repairs when required
Routine servicing of equipment such as diggers, dumpers, telehandlers, excavators, rollers, and more
Completing all administration accurately and on time, including PDA reports and photographic damage records
About You
You’ll be a proactive engineer who takes pride in delivering high standards and being a valued team player. Ideally, you’ll have experience working with heavy plant and hire equipment such as dumpers, rollers, and excavators.
Experience with manufacturers such as:
JCB
CAT
Komatsu
Liebherr
Bomag
Terex
(or similar brands) would be highly advantageous.
