Chemistry Department
Chemistry is taught as a distinct subject from Year 9 and is a popular option at GCSE and A-Level. The department is led by an experienced Head of Science, supported by full-time lab technicians, and enjoys excellent resources including spectroscopy kits, fume hoods, and digital tools for simulation and modelling.
Your Role

Teach Chemistry across Key Stages 3, 4, and 5, depending on experience

Plan engaging lessons that include practical investigations and enquiry-led learning
*
Provide academic support through revision, mentoring, and targeted interventions
*
Contribute to departmental planning, assessment, and curriculum development
*
Support extracurricular science clubs, STEM partnerships, and school science events
Ideal Candidate
*
Degree in Chemistry or a closely related subject with QTS
*
Experience teaching Chemistry at KS3–KS5 preferred
*
Commitment to fostering a love of Chemistry and building confidence in learners
*
Strong pedagogical understanding and the ability to differentiate for mixed ability
*
