TPF Recruitment is delighted to be supporting a well-established, independent accountancy practice in the TW area that is looking to recruit a Senior Accountant to join their close-knit and friendly team.
This is a fantastic opportunity to join a small but growing firm that offers a varied role, direct client exposure and a supportive working environment. The practice provides a full range of accounting, tax and advisory services to a diverse portfolio of clients, including SMEs, owner-managed businesses and individuals.

The Role
As a Senior Accountant, you will play a key role within the practice, managing your own client portfolio and supporting the delivery of high-quality accounts and tax services.
Key responsibilities will include:
* Managing a portfolio of clients across a range of industries
* Preparing and reviewing statutory accounts for limited companies, sole traders and partnerships
* Preparing corporation tax returns and supporting personal tax work where required
* Preparing and reviewing management accounts
* Overseeing bookkeeping and VAT return preparation
* Acting as the main point of contact for clients, building strong and lasting relationships
* Providing general business and financial advice to clients
* Supporting and reviewing the work of junior staff where applicable
* Ensuring all work is completed accurately and in line with deadlines and compliance requirements
* Assisting with ad-hoc projects and supporting the Partners with client work
Requirements
The Ideal Candidate
The successful candidate will likely have:
* ACA or ACCA qualified, or qualified by experience
* Strong experience within a UK accountancy practice
* Good technical knowledge across accounts and tax compliance
* Experience managing a client portfolio independently
* Strong communication skills and confidence working directly with clients
* A proactive and organised approach with strong attention to detail
* Experience using cloud accounting software such as Xero, Sage or QuickBooks
