Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and efficient Warehouse Worker to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our warehouse by handling various tasks related to nuts and bolts, stocking, and shipping. This position requires a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate must have a driving license as some driving will be required.
Responsibilities
* Operate forklifts and a reach truck and other warehouse equipment safely and efficiently.
* Manage inventory using a Warehouse Management System (WMS) to track stock levels and movements.
* Handle materials with care, ensuring proper storage and organisation within the warehouse.
* Perform stocking duties, replenishing shelves as needed to maintain optimal inventory levels.
* Assist in shipping and receiving processes, including loading and unloading goods from lorries.
* Maintain a clean and organised work environment to promote safety and efficiency.
Experience
* Previous warehouse experience is preferred, with familiarity in materials handling practices.
* knowledge of nuts and bolts would be beneficial but not essential.
* Knowledge of forklift operation is essential; certification is a plus. You will be using a forklift truck and will be trained to use a reach truck as this is essential requirement for the job.
* Experience with warehouse management systems is advantageous.
* Mechanical knowledge or experience in construction can be beneficial.
