Job Title: Warehouse Shift Manager
Location: Wigan
Salary: £36,000 - £40,000 + Bonus + Excellent Benefits
The Company:
Our client is a 3PL with operations across the UK. The Wigan distribution centre is a multi-customer warehouse operation providing fulfilment services for several well-known retail brands.
The Role:
The Warehouse Shift Manager will be responsible for end-to-end warehouse processes for a dedicated contract. This is a customer facing role, you will need to be comfortable in reporting on operational performance both in person, and via daily calls.
You will be required to ensure all warehouse activities are completed to the highest standard, whilst focusing on the development of your team (4 Team Leaders and 40 Colleagues).
Responsibilities will include;
* Developing your team of direct and indirect reports through regular feedback and a consistent approach to the appraisal process.
* Planning and achievement of required KPI’s and SLA’s within the agreed budget.
* Monitor process compliance and ensure the highest QC standards across all warehouse activities.
* Day to day organisation of resources (equipment and labour) to deliver the best possible service levels.
* Planning for peak periods and promotional activities, liaising with agency labour providers as required.
The Candidate:
Experience of working in a management role within the warehouse/distribution sector is required. You will have responsibility for people management with support from HR in addition to the operational responsibilities – experience of leading return to work meetings, appraisals, and disciplinary handling is important.
Effective for workload and labour planning skills are required and being comfortable in using various WMS packages is a crucial.

* Salary of £36,000 - £40,000 per annum
