A well-established Civils Contractor based in the Mid-Ulster region of Northern Ireland with 40 years' construction and Civil engineering experience is currently seeking a Civils Planner to join their team. Based in Head office with working from home and site visits built into the role.Thispany is part of longstanding frameworks across Northern Ireland such as projects on Northern Ireland Water and Irish Water, whilst also working within traditional civils specialisms such as the Water / Wastewater industry, Flood Alleviation, Environmental Improvement/Public Realm, Marine and Industrialmercial schemes.Now hiring a Civils Planner to aid in the planning and programming of uing works and a busy order book, this is an excellent new position for you to step in to. Reporting to the senior management team, the Civils Planner will support thepany by identifying, controlling, and forecasting timescales and resource requirements, whilst implementing best practice project planning and processing of the full life cycle of projects from tender through topletion.Working with P6 Primavera Software, you will help the growth of the business with efficient / detailed programming and innovative tender plans with the technology available and expertise available. You will provide planning functions for each project, ensuring that issues or irregularities within the programme are highlighted and understood by all. The successful candidate will represent thepany at client meetings and assist in the continuous improvement of safety and performance.What you'll need to succeed Demonstrate relevant previous experience in Civils or Construction planningCapable of using P6 Primavera software to plan works.Demonstrate a clear understanding of the construction / civils process from inception topletion of a project.Demonstrate good IT knowledge and be strong with one of, if not multiple, planning software tools such as MS Project, Asta, Primavera. Demonstrate a high level of attention to detail whilst reviewing andpiling programme solutions.Possess goodmunication skills and the ability to work within a team.Ability to work on your own initiative and remotely if required.
