About the role:
You will drive a lorry from our fleet of Volvo vehicles, all less than 4 years old, equipped with high specifications such as fridges, leather seats, and optional extras for comfort.
Our sites operate Monday to Friday, with 45-hour weeks and 9-hour shifts starting typically at 7/8 am. Our organized shift schedules often allow you to know your routes in advance, reducing stress.
This role offers job security within a growing, global business. We operate a busy fleet, ensuring consistent work. Additional hours are available, with enhanced pay for bank holidays and night shifts (10 pm-6 am).

Key Responsibilities:
1. We trust our drivers to plan their routes and manage their own schedules. Typically, there are 4 to 6 stops per shift, allowing ample time on the road while ensuring you are home at the end of each shift.
2. Ensure timely delivery and collection of cages, pallets, freight, stillages, and Yorks. Loading and unloading may be performed by you or at the site, along with scanning consignments and using pallet trucks.
3. Inspect your vehicle and trailer daily, completing defect reports if necessary.
4. Maintain high standards of accuracy and customer service, communicating effectively with internal and external customers, and escalating queries to your Site Manager as needed.
The ideal candidate will have:
* Class 1 Driving Licence
* Driver CPC qualification card
* Completed or working towards the required CPC training hours
* Excellent knowledge of Road Transport Laws and commitment to road safety
* A proactive 'can-do' attitude
